“Tasty full English breakfast. Staff friendly and accommodating. Lovely pub, surrounded by the remains of a Roman town, which we did not realise until we got there. My only complaint is my mattress could have been more comfortable but this could easily be resolved with a quality mattress topper. Thank you for making us feel welcome.”

“Wonderful hotel, Brenda at reception and breakfast staff always go above and beyond, Michael the restaurant manager is great also, one staff member is a big letdown to the whole hotel which is a shame, but will continue to return as 1 is not all ”

“A lot of noise from the room above you can hear people walking around above. We were awaken by someone showering at 6:00 am the water noise is very bad. Also the bare wooden floors are quite cold in the winter and no slippers are provided. This is not acceptable for a £*** a night hotel claiming to offer Luxury”

“Good and clean staff very good ”

“편안한 침대와 넓은 샤워 시설을 갖춘 멋진 크기의 객실입니다. 모든 예술품은 뉴포트 테마, 특히 유명한 Transporter Bridge를 테마로 합니다. 우리는 3층에 있는 바 레스토랑에서 점심과 음료를 먹었습니다. 훌륭한 서비스와 분위기였습니다. Friars Walk 모퉁이에 주차하는 것은 매우 합리적이었습니다.”

“Fabulous staff - everyone really friendly and helpful. Good sized room with amazing shower - bit too powerful as managed to soak floor! Food in bar was very good as was freshly cooked breakfast. Plenty of parking. Definitely recommend.”

“In great need of renovation. Room smelt of cigarette smoke. Furniture in bad state, stains on chair, table sticky. Bathroom clean but old No lift”

“On arrival this hotel has the wow factor but after spending a night here it is just another typical large hotel. The checking in process was straightforward but slow and we proceeded to our room on the tenth floor. The first thing we noticed is that there are only three lifts which is not enough for a hotel of this size, on the course of our travels in Europe and Australia there would have been double the number. The room was spacious and well furnished with three chairs which were welcome. The only niggles were that the mattress was very firm for us but that is a personal thing as were the pillows. In the bathroom an escutcheon on the door handle wasn’t fitted due to a loose screw, the screw fell out and we replaced the escutcheon. Our friends who were staying had ordered a cream tea and they asked us to join them, it wasn’t a cream tea as such. There were scones and cream but an assortment of scones, sandwiches and savoury items (* items in total for two people) but sadly very little thought had been put into the choice of items. Quantity is not a replacement for lesser quality items. Breakfast was typical of a good hotel buffet with plenty of choices. The worst part was that I lost the room keys and another set was produced for us BUT the original set were not cancelled. Fortunately after retracing where we had been we found them and they still open our room door. If someone else had found them the key holder had our room number and our surname, this was not acceptable and no apology was given when the front desk was informed. ”

“Nice room, spa facilities were very good. Hotel staff were very helpful. Overall experience was dragged down by the restaurant. The food, experience and staff do not reflect the price of the menu.”

“This was a convenient stay for the ICC although immediate surroundings (industrial estate) not inspiring. Hotel itself was very comfortable, nice clean large room, very comfortable bed. Breakfast reasonable although a bit lacking in fresh fruit options and scrambled eggs had stood a long while. The hotel restaurant was in a separate building and served slightly soulless American inspired food.”
