“The hotel was in a great position for everything of interest . It was very clean and staffed by people who were all extremely attentive and helpful. Our room was first rate and very quiet . The view of the Principality Stafium was great with the hotel being pretty much in the grounds of the Stadium itself. The restaurant and bar areas were excellent and again the staff were great . Overall this is a great hotel which I would highly recommend.”

“Staff nice at reception and pub. However food overpriced, especially room service. Pool jacuzzi steam room good, however jacuzzi was set very hot on one of the days and also the steam room on both days. Hotel ignored advance request for quiet room (allocated one at front of hotel by the road) so had to come back down and ask to change it. Heavy doors don't slow-close so slam loudly everywhere around rooms. One of towels left for me had two holes in it and cleaning staff rudely opened the door (and let it slam) before check out time when there was no door hanger left for them to do that. When informed reception of both those issues no compensation was offered. Very warm at night, without heating on, and windows limited opening.”

“We received a warm welcome at the Exchange hotel. Our second floor room (King standard) was light and nicely decorated but had a musty smell. We were quickly moved to a first floor room that was spacious and tastefully decorated. The location is excellent for Cardiff Bay and we enjoyed walking the barrage to Penarth and dining in the Eli Jenkins pub. On our return, I wanted a shower but discovered there was no hot water. We contacted reception who were apologetic and advised that we could be upgraded to a room with a bath. As it was getting late (8pm) we kindly refused. The bed was very comfortable and our room was quiet. In the morning it took 15 mins running the shower to achieve luke warm water! The breakfast room was beautifully decorated and the food was delicious and plentiful. Would I stay again, despite the hot water calamity, its a resounding YES!!!”
