Tasty full English breakfast. Staff friendly and accommodating. Lovely pub, surrounded by the remains of a Roman town, which we did not realise until we got there. My only complaint is my mattress could have been more comfortable but this could easily be resolved with a quality mattress topper. Thank you for making us feel welcome.

Great pub , good honest food and proper real Ale which is hard to find these days. Room was simple and clean , but ensuite was very small. Definitely recommend a visit.

Such friendly staff, always willing to help. Good food, reasonable prices. Rooms could do with more shelves in the toilet / shower, as nowhere to put your bits. Beds could do with new mattresses.Great open garden area with playground for kids. large car park. WiFi etc. good value alround.

We easily found the Coach and Horses, parking and check-in was very straightforward. The location is a very pleasant village with a rural feel, but it is in very easy reach of main roads and Sever Crossings. We could see one of the bridges from our room, as well as rolling hills and fields. The room was very clean, plenty of hot water for the shower, and a good size TV. The was quite busy but you couldn't hear it all at all in the room. They also serve excellent local beers. The cooked breakfast was excellent. Wee cannot comment on the evening meal as gey weren't serving in the night we arrived.
