“We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Oak Mead.Set in the tranquil countryside just a short drive from Chester and near the village of Rossett. The apartment had a homely feel ,well fitted out and comfy bed.. A pleasure to stay here”

“Stayed here unexpectedly as previous accommodation beds were terrible. Was so relieved with how comfy and clean the room was. Staff were so helpful. Helped with luggage on the way in and out. Only narks were the drippy toilet, creaky floor and slow service for the bar but appreciate having one staff on in the week because it’s quiet. Thanks for the lovely stay! ”

“Just returned from a family getaway . This hotel is ideally located in a quiet town with a park opposite to entertain children and a local shop to stock up on snacks if needed. Lovely grounds and the hotel breakfast is delicious. We had a double room as there were no family rooms available on booking and I asked to put a put up bed in the room which was set up ready when we arrived. My 6 year old loved it there was plenty of room in the room and it was ideal for her. My only feedback would be the evening menu is more let’s say posh food - fine if that’s what your looking for but very limited however there are plenty of nice pubs in the village . The hotel is a great base for exploring nearby villages and towns such as Wrexham and Chester with the bus stop just outside the hotel. ”

“Very comfortable stay. Very helpful staff. ”

“Hard to check in at night. Was told they would message Expedia my check in instructions, but I didn’t reserve through Expedia so had no instructions. Even checked personal email just in case but nothing; so I emailed instead and waited. I was locked out in the rain trying to get to my room. Eventually I saw other guests who pointed me in the direction of a cell phone number on the door. The gentleman gave me the instructions. The floor was super loud every time we walked. I felt bad for other guests. There was no conditioner and the body wash was empty! No phone in room to call the Front Desk; so had to use just shampoo. I advised them at check out of all the issues. They just responded “I’m sorry about that. We will get them refilled.” Didn’t really recover or attempt to acknowledge all the issues.”

“We had a positive experience here and it's not the first time. Staff are helpful, sky tv in the room is great and the breakfast is good. Food is average for the price and bar snacks and soft drinks very expensive, to be expected somewhat perhaps. Will be going again ”

“We went to visit the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Llangollen over the weekend and this hotel is in such a good location to both and easy to get to. The room was a really good size, clean and the bed was so comfy. We didn't get to try the other facilities but because of the room alone we would definitely return. A really nice stay.”

“Probably because of our room location being positioned over the gents toilets, but the constant noise of the toilet being flushed, noisy tap and the drone of the hand dryer was draining. Oh I forgot and a slamming door plus the room was so hot and not being able to open the window because it was right next to the kitchen extractor vent! The hotel its self is great sounds like im being harsh but personally I feel the room we had shouldn't be a guest room.”
