“We had a positive experience here and it's not the first time. Staff are helpful, sky tv in the room is great and the breakfast is good. Food is average for the price and bar snacks and soft drinks very expensive, to be expected somewhat perhaps. Will be going again ”

“Hard to check in at night. Was told they would message Expedia my check in instructions, but I didn’t reserve through Expedia so had no instructions. Even checked personal email just in case but nothing; so I emailed instead and waited. I was locked out in the rain trying to get to my room. Eventually I saw other guests who pointed me in the direction of a cell phone number on the door. The gentleman gave me the instructions. The floor was super loud every time we walked. I felt bad for other guests. There was no conditioner and the body wash was empty! No phone in room to call the Front Desk; so had to use just shampoo. I advised them at check out of all the issues. They just responded “I’m sorry about that. We will get them refilled.” Didn’t really recover or attempt to acknowledge all the issues.”

“Very comfortable stay. Very helpful staff. ”

“Stayed at Wynnstay Arms in Wrexham on 19th September due to work, having also booked in August for the same reason. Was happy to return mainly due to the location & the exceptionally friendly staff, for whom nothing is too much trouble. Due to a deal I was able to stay in a larger room inc breakfast this time. Even the smaller rooms are spacious enough for what I need, however it is worth noting that when air con is stated this is merely a large desk fan, although this was able to do the job when needed. The decor in the rooms I have stayed in so far is in need of an update, including marks & divots to the walls, & some unnecessary pictures/canvas, but again this is superficial when judged against the very comfy beds & ample bedding & towels provided. In the larger room I stayed in this time the shower was not very powerful, & difficult to get the temperature right as needed to use the sensitive bath taps, so this could be looked at, but for the money paid for being literally by the main high street less than 100 yards where I was based for the evening, I am prepared to balance out the good with the not so good. Breakfast on Sunday is served between 8-10am & was very impressive with something for everyone. Pastries, cereal, etc, plus rather than a hot buffet (where the food may not be so hot when you get to it!) one of the staff come to your table to take your order from the extensive menu selection. As mentioned previously the staff are the biggest plus, & make you welcome straight away. The free parking available is also very impressive, rather than simply being an easy additional cash grab. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to other solo/business travellers or older couples/families wanting a good deal & great service. For younger couples I think there are likely better in the city centre. ”
