“We would normally book a premier inn for the night when staying in Carlisle but I managed to book a night in Cumbria Park Hotel including breakfast at the last minute for less than the room only option for the premier inns. The double room was a good size with adequate drawers & wardrobe space. We didnt make use of the iron or ironing board provided. The room was to the front of the hotel so quite a lot of road noise - probably not the best location for light sleepers. The bed was a bit springy too - I wasn't a fan but hubby liked it. The pressure in the shower isn't the strongest - definitely not a power shower but did the job. Breakfast is buffet style. Plenty of choice & we enjoyed it well enough. We would return in the future. ”

“I found the room was clean and the bed comfy. It’s far from glamorous but for the money it did the job. At this price you won’t go wrong. ”

“Nice hotel. Very clean and modern. The staff were nice. *The car park is free to hotel users, it there are no signs in the car park to say this. I paid £12 for 24 hours only to find out when I got to reception. There is a keypad in the reception area to enter your car registration.* Overall a nice hotel and stay. ”

“Overall the hotel is a bit shabby but it's clean. The location is great in that it's central, very close to the train station and easy to walk to shops, restaurants and attractions. The downside to the location though is that it's in the pub district so is quite noisy at nights. We only had breakfast once because although the food was fine there was a coach party in at the same time and it felt too crowded trying to access it. Any dealings I had with staff were fine. Overall, if you're looking for a luxury getaway this isn't the place for you but if you want a comfortable base to explore the area from then it's ideal. In spite of the negatives I've mentioned I would stay again.”

“This is a beautiful and clean guesthouse. The breakfast was very good and ample. The owner was friendly and helpful. The furniture whether antique or reproductions, suited the place perfectly, giving a feel of being transported back in time. The only issues my wife and i had was the bed and pillows. The small size double bed created a very restless sleep due to the body heat of 2 people confined in a small space covered by an overly weighty and thick doona. Whilst the room had both a single and double bed, it could have quite easily accommodated a queen if not a King bed which would have alleviated that problem. The pillows were an issue as well as they sunk right in until you were feeling the firmness of the bed itself and with the pillow then not offering any support at all to your head and neck.”

“Very good price point and located in a good starting point for things to do. Our room was clean had a clean bed clean bathroom with tea and coffee facilities. However, very dated could do with repairs and updates throughout. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating always happy to help. Breakfast was very good and served in a timely manner. Cereals available as well as well as unlimited juice tea and coffee. Would recommend for a stop off to explore local area. Only negative is if you are taking a pet it's an additional 15 pounds per night which was not stated on agoda page.”

“The hotel is nice, with friendly staff and rooms exactly as advertised. It is suitable for relaxing and exploring the city. The food is good, and overall it was a pleasant stay. Free internet is available for 30 minutes per day, but those who need it for work may want to have a backup plan.”

“I travel to sightsee, not interested in posh hotels. Just want a clean and safe base to travel from like The Warren Guest House. This is on the bus route so easy to get around and right next to a supermarket. A warm welcome from Jimmy and Anita was a bonus.”
