“We would normally book a premier inn for the night when staying in Carlisle but I managed to book a night in Cumbria Park Hotel including breakfast at the last minute for less than the room only option for the premier inns. The double room was a good size with adequate drawers & wardrobe space. We didnt make use of the iron or ironing board provided. The room was to the front of the hotel so quite a lot of road noise - probably not the best location for light sleepers. The bed was a bit springy too - I wasn't a fan but hubby liked it. The pressure in the shower isn't the strongest - definitely not a power shower but did the job. Breakfast is buffet style. Plenty of choice & we enjoyed it well enough. We would return in the future. ”

“This is a beautiful and clean guesthouse. The breakfast was very good and ample. The owner was friendly and helpful. The furniture whether antique or reproductions, suited the place perfectly, giving a feel of being transported back in time. The only issues my wife and i had was the bed and pillows. The small size double bed created a very restless sleep due to the body heat of 2 people confined in a small space covered by an overly weighty and thick doona. Whilst the room had both a single and double bed, it could have quite easily accommodated a queen if not a King bed which would have alleviated that problem. The pillows were an issue as well as they sunk right in until you were feeling the firmness of the bed itself and with the pillow then not offering any support at all to your head and neck.”

“Great location for heather glen,staff dropped us off at venue and offered to collect us as well. Lovely bar meal & breakfast very warm in room but it was 26c outside, small fridge would of been a bonus for cold drinks but really enjoyed our stay,thank you Jud & Rob x”
