“Very good price point and located in a good starting point for things to do. Our room was clean had a clean bed clean bathroom with tea and coffee facilities. However, very dated could do with repairs and updates throughout. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating always happy to help. Breakfast was very good and served in a timely manner. Cereals available as well as well as unlimited juice tea and coffee. Would recommend for a stop off to explore local area. Only negative is if you are taking a pet it's an additional 15 pounds per night which was not stated on agoda page.”

“At quites short notice, we decided to stay in Carlisle for one night, instead of driving home, after attending a concert. We were looking for reasonably priced, no frills accommodation, in a convenient location, not far from the concert venue. The Ox Hotel more than met theses requirements. Our ensuite room, was inexpensive, clean and comfortable. Hotel staff provided us with an efficient, friendly service and the inclusion of access to the hotel gym and bar, also enhanced our brief stay. We would definitely stay at the Ox Hotel again and recommend it to other travellers seeking comfortable, affordable accommodation, in a convenient location, within short driving distance of Carlisle city centre.”

“Friendly, welcoming, good breakfast. The room was very nice. A little tricky to move around with large luggage including stairs. But overall a good choice. Only issue was the shower. It went from super hot to super cold on like a 15 second rotation. Terrible. Rm2 But I told them so they know about it. The equipment is all new so ….. maybe some adjustment is needed. If your concerned check it. Otherwise it’s great. ”
