“Lovely Hotel, fabulous gluten free food, very helpful and friendly ”

“Basic budget accommodation, nice welcome, staff helpful & friendly, beds comfortable, as known with travelodge just for place to sleep, tried the Shake Dog outside it for breakfast/brunch served up to 12o'clock €8.95 for the mini breakfast with toast and tea/coffee good price. There was pancakes, french toast, bacon, eggs on menu too. Good location for Waterford city, but even better if you have a car, if you intend on going to Tramore Beach, Activate Waterford (nice playground outside this and green area to kick a ball) Splashworld, etc. Could be good spot if going to cycle the Greenway too. ”

“We stayed in the hotel for just one night and it served our needs extremely well. We had an early reservation in a nearby restaurant which we could walk to and from which was super. We had a couple of drinks in the bar when we got back which was nice and quiet. We did not have breakfast in the hotel as we were going to meet friends in Tramore for same. All in all a successful trip and hotel was perfect. Our only criticism was the car park which was full, not affording us a place to park. We did however get street part right opposite.”

“The lady who runs the B&B is a very nice woman. The room was nice and clean. The wooden flooring was shiney, the bed was super comfortable and the ensuite was grand. There was a kettle with Barry's tea and Nescafe coffee sachet & TV. Breakfast was fine there was a selection of cereals, some fruit and yoghurt. Tea and orange juice. The only tiny quirk was that I had come from a sports event so needed to shower and the dispensers in my bathroom didn't have bathing gel but that's okay as I brought my own shampoo/ conditioner/ shower gel. Loved the B&B and would happily stay again and it was very cosy.”

“Treacys is a very nice hotel, great location, simple rooms but all that you need. Breakfast staff are particularly friendly and the shaved headed barman (don’t know his name). Was in the bar the day of the 2026 marathon and he kept us hydrated. ;) night porters also very polite. Will return ”

“Great atmosphere in the hotel when we arrived and a fantastic spot for walking around the cities sights. They had live music in the bar which was full when we arrived back that night. Breakfast was lovely as well and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. ”
