Hazelwood Guesthouse

The lady who runs the B&B is a very nice woman. The room was nice and clean. The wooden flooring was shiney, the bed was super comfortable and the ensuite was grand. There was a kettle with Barry's tea and Nescafe coffee sachet & TV. Breakfast was fine there was a selection of cereals, some fruit and yoghurt. Tea and orange juice. The only tiny quirk was that I had come from a sports event so needed to shower and the dispensers in my bathroom didn't have bathing gel but that's okay as I brought my own shampoo/ conditioner/ shower gel. Loved the B&B and would happily stay again and it was very cosy.

I booked my overnight stay for after my arrival at Rosslare Harbour and I was looking for a competitive price, I was not looking for a luxurious accommodation, which can be pretty expensive in parts of Ireland! A bit over an hour's ride. I parked off-road in the small parking area which is on the side of one of the main routes into the city. I was careful to secure my motorcycle properly on parking! I was shown my room by the lady of the house, and the procedure for getting in and out of the property. The room was perfectly suitable for a solo traveler, with the usual amenities. Everything was spotlessly clean, the ensuite the same. The only small issue was that the Wi-Fi strength is poor but is workable. The location did not seem to have any food establishments handy other than McDonald's, so I am afraid that was my evening meal although I did find that Lidl was open late so I popped in and bought myself some biscuits! From looking at the map it was not a long drive into the town to find numerous nice establishments... The bed was very comfortable and in spite of my worst fears, the road noise was not too bad at all and I slept well. Breakfast in the morning was a continental style and was more than satisfactory, with good coffee and lots of choice available. I was very pleased with the accommodation and the food, and the price I paid through agoda meant that it was a bargain stop, and I would be more than happy stay there any time or recommend it to any traveler.

Only about 2km from the city centre with a really good bus connection and a frequent service from early in the morning to late at night. Close to a number of local food outlets including McDonalds Supermacs Subway and Lidl. This is really an affordable place to stay with breakfast included with free car parking and on the main road to Tramore which is one of Irelands top beaches and also within walking distance of a multi screen Odeon cinema.If you are a light sleeper it may be advisable to ask for a room at the rear of the property.

A lovely home converted to a B & B. Owner and caretaker very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, other guests inconsiderate and stomped around their room late at night (11:00PM). Continental breakfast provided which was adequate.

The B&B is about 10mins drive from the city centre, staff was very nice and the facilities very clean
