“Hotel was lovely with good facilities and a fantastic breakfast. Was only a few minutes drive to both Bowness and Ambleside. A great place to stay.”

“Somewhere between Agoda and Briery Wood they managed to lose our booking of a family room as we were 2 adults and 2 children. The hotel said the booking came from Booking.com not Agoda and only had 2 adults in a double room. Lucky I had the booking and invoice on my phone to show them what we had booked and they gave us another double room which they made into a twin. As mentioned I dont know if this was the booking agent or the hotels problem, the only thing I do think is the man on reception shouldn't have really said aloud to us that for what we paid we shouldn't really be getting 2 rooms with breakfast.”

“Overall, my stay at Hotel Low Wood Bay was pleasant. The staff were fantastic and accommodating, and the hotel is pet-friendly, which is a big plus for dog owners. However, I was disappointed to find out that there's an additional £30 charge per night per dog, which feels excessive compared to other hotels. Additionally, considering the hotel's location, having a car is essential, yet guests are charged £12 for parking. While I enjoyed my stay, these additional charges left a somewhat sour taste. ”

“Had a lovely room at the front with a balcony. Lovely hotel, nice staff, good breakfast. Hotel and grounds very attractive. Plenty of parking and a 15 minute walk to Windermere or a fees mins to the bus stop. Good size swimming pool, only criticism here was showers were pool side not in the changing rooms. Only issue we had was the dogs, they were everywhere! I love dogs but firstly I’m allergic to them and secondly don’t agree that they should be allowed everywhere, including one being carried around the breakfast buffet and then sat on its owners knee at the table. Several also barked constantly, one at 5 am 2 mornings running. Other than this lovely hotel and great stay. ”
