“Overnight stay here was OK, Room was clean, tidy, Coffee/ Tea facilities, TV was a bit dodgy with remote but got by, Bathroom clean, up together, Evening meals issues with several items on menu not in stock, but good service by all staff, Breakfast OK but limited replenishment , Good location for city, NEC, Airport, overall in my opinion 6.5/10”

“I would have to say this is a good stay but paying for parking is ridiculous especially when it's £10 per night when we've already paid for the hotel, which isn't cheap. The cleanliness of the cutlery, plates etc needs alot of improvement. I had to go through almost a stack of plates to find a clean one. Cutlery was smudged and the mugs were stained with food. Clearly they were not washed properly. Other than that it was a good stay.”

“Staff all very friendly. Our room was ok. A bit jaded but hotels like this just can’t afford to refurbish. Bed comfortable but could do with better pillows. Duvet only just reached edges so had to group together in middle - that was ok. I don’t know what the pool was like as I was told I couldn’t get downstairs on my mobility scooter and there was no lift. The main reason we opted for this hotel ! On last night a lady appeared with wet hair. When I said you’re lucky, she replied “your scooter would go in lift”. Imagine how I felt ? Dinner on Sundays was roast. Never had such beautiful beef. But weekdays was the same limited menu every day. Reasonable prices for hotel. Breakfast was good but we were put in a back room as restaurant was so small. Felt second rate on that day. We found that it cost £20 per night per dog. At that point we decided not to return. That would be £280 for two tiny well behaved non shedding dogs. Why ? Outlandish. ”

“Location great if you need to be in the centre of Solihull. Clean hotel and polite and helpful staff. The only drawback is that they charged us GBP10 to park our car overnight in the hotel car park, which we thought was unusual and expensive.”

“Hotel is very busy, with the bar and grill, Starbucks and gym. Better option on a budget hotel around Solihull/Shirley area. Unfortunately we were given room 225, the room is just a few doors down the lift so the doors keeps slamming closed whenever someone uses it and can clearly hear it through the room. The lights switch on our bathroom is properly lodge into the wall so you cannot physically turn off the lights, so it’s been ON the whole stay we were there - unless you wanted no electricity and no lights (card activated) you can always take the card off the wall. There were sick residue on the carpet, the tap is leaking unless you turn it in a way to stop it leaking, the bath doesn't drain properly, there's a room thermostat but we noticed it's always cold in the evening but the heating activates from midnight to early morning, don't think the thermostat actually works and it's manually set up on their end and our soap dispensers were empty. But for the price we couldn't really moan, other hotels have bad beds and no air condition. Hopefully if they see this review they'll look into the room to fix some issues. (We stayed on a weekend so there's no available room to change into) also parking is free on weekends, £10/person for breakfast and £5/person for the spa/gym facilities ”
