“Stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights and overall everything was good but really not matching the price. The cheaper rooms felt very cheap, with the bathrooms in particular plus a view of a hedge. The spa is nice but there are only 6 beds, so nowhere to sit for most people and everything outside is at a high additional cost which was not transparent in advance. There’s no welcome drinks and overall front of house staff weren’t particularly helpful with no offer of help with luggage or additional information. There were several other unexpected charges such as for other coffee in the morning, and eating in the restaurant at night the food was nice but it all felt very rushed, with pre plated chilled plates brought out, so although the food was very nice, the overall experience wasn’t matching the price you pay. There was a fire drill at 4 am which can of course happen but it would be nice if the hotel compensated with complementary coffee/drinks the following day. The bed was very comfy and the area is beautiful but it felt like a cheaper hotel than we paid for ”

“A magnificent property in a prime location on the banks of Loch Fyne, and greets you as you enter Inveraray. Peel away the facard and everything is just avarge at best. We had a very good size room with a lovely view, let down by scaffolding which obstructed our view of the Loch, by no means the hotels fault. Bathroom facilities are great, but let down by old worn out mattresses that need changing now. Our food experience was a low point for us. We ate in the lounge and had 2 courses of which was half decent bait very small portions. When our waiter removed our plates, at no time did he enquire if our meal was ok until the very last moment, which really was to late to take on some constructive criticism of our experience. To add a little more salt to the wound, a service charge was added to the bill, to which we asked for it to be removed. Finally the breakfast did not fair better. I requested SOFT POACHED eggs, what I got was to bullet like poached eggs. Normally I would ask or give staff an opertunity to change for soft eggs, unfortunately we where on a time scale and did not have the time. Now those details may seem trivial to some, but the attention to detail make the difference from avarage to good or excellent. Best Western is huge in the UK and it is clear staff have not bought into the Inveraray Hotel Story. Training is critical and standadizes procedures. My opinion only, some staff really don't care about the product BW want to give thier customers.”

“The house is lovely and the room was large and well appointed. The bed and bathroom were top notch and spotlessly clean. They need to add a repeater to their wifi as it was not strong enough upstairs to get a television connection which didn't matter to us but it might to some. The host was very responsive when we arrived without having received an entry code and even provided a room upgrade which was lovely. I will certainly book again on my next trip to Inveraray.”

“Booked last min after spending time on the sunny terrace. Beautiful Delux room with a roll top bath, super king comfortable bed. Dinner was lovely as always and Breakfast had lots of choice. Saman”
