“lovely relaxing location in the forest with awesome facilities including a sauna & spa with a delicious breakfast and friendly welcoming owners. Would highly reccomend staying here if you are in the Dunfries area. Barry & Slajane Perth Western Australia”

“Only stayed for one night and we had a large comfortable room overlooking the loch. Breakfast was included which was really good. Shame it rained while we were there as we couldn't take advantage of our private terrace accessed through patio doors from our room.”

“Not suitable for people with any sore joints as the beds are rock hard. If you like food that reminds you of your grannies cooking, give it a try… I prefer modern cuisine myself. ”

“What a find this was, I’ve paid more for less @ recent establishments; highly recommended.”

“I originally visited this hotel 35 years ago we chose it because it is close to the centre of Dumfries but in a lovely area of large houses. It is now under new management and I found it extremely welcoming with friendly and chatty manager. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast very hearty settling you up for the day. I would say that the meals in the restaurant are top notch easily the best food in Dumfries. I will definitely be back and can highly recommend this hotel.”

“Booked Dumfries Villa as I was heading back to catch up for a celebration with friends. I was met by the Proprietor Colin who was very friendly, and explained the house rules to help maximise my stay. The room was a good size with a single and a double bed in. There was a lovely view of a church from the room too. The room had an ensuite which was just about the right size. The breakfast the following morning was nice. Poached eggs on toast were done just right and the porridge was tasty too. Service was quick and friendly too. Will definitely look to book again next time I'm up.”

“Excellent value. Great for a short visit; work etc. Very convenient parking. Great breakfast. WiFi. ”
