Woodland House Hotel

Not suitable for people with any sore joints as the beds are rock hard. If you like food that reminds you of your grannies cooking, give it a try… I prefer modern cuisine myself.

I travelled with my dog and we were both made very welcome. There are good meadow areas around the house to run the dog around, and other walks possible straight from the hotel, which I was told about when I checked in. The main house is very beautiful and the rooms are sympathetically decorated. I found everything I needed, plenty of power sockets, good Wifi signal, warm and comforting room. Spacious bathroom, but the bath had been disconnected from the plumbing so if a bath is your thing, that's something to note. There was one bin, only in the bathroom, which is maybe a picky thing and not a big deal for me, but I thought I should mention it. Nice choice of breakfast items, and although it wasn't specifically mentioned on the menu, I chose poached eggs on toast, I'm a business traveller and this place was a gem for me, superb staff, very comfortable and I would highly recommend to anyone.
