“We had an event in Barrie and the hotel was ideally located. Everything seemed within 15 minutes and it is easily accessible just off the highway. The room was very clean, but the hotel itself could use some updating. The elevator especially at times seemed clunky, but there were no issues. The staff was very nice and the complimentary continental breakfast was basic but adequate. On offer was an egg breakfast for an additional $8, which several people seemed to take advantage of. For one night, we were very happy with our experience.”

“It was clean and breakfast was nice. ”

“Amazing!! I'll highlight recomend it”

“My only but important complaint is that when I stay here and ask for late checkout and it’s approved and notes are being put on stuff. Nobody listens… I still get woken up at 10:30 in the morning. I’ve even gone so far to take my phone off the hook so that they stop calling but now I have people banging on the door and I say I have late checkout till 1230. They say OK then they come back at 11 then they come back at 12… Absolutely not acceptable… I have late nights when I book your and need my ability to leave when I want.”

“The only issue was toilet, hard to flush, slow drainage of sink and bathroom fan, cannot be turned off(but it was not noisy). But the pool was very clean and we are very pleased”

“Hotel staff was great, the room was nothing special, it was a but dated but they were working on renovating rooms while we were there. They have pet friendly rooms which was necessary for us.”

“It's our first time checking in with this hotel, and expectations were too high since it's a Marriott hotel. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay and the facilities were Okay, but the only issue we had was the cleanliness of the room. There were small hairs in the bathroom near the sink and some stains in the towel. There's also one cockroach crawling on the wall. A bit dissapppointed, but the hotel's better overall, rather than going anywhere..Food is excellent by the way.”

“The room we were provided was exceptionally spacious. I believe this was because we were given an "accessible" room. Maybe rooms on other floors are more compact. The Wi-Fi was good and reliable. The housekeeping was good, and we found our room spotless. There was lots of parking. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to our small requests. I don't think the location is that amazing, but you're in Barrie, so what do you expect really. Overall the value for money was okay, but I think the price was a bit steep for such a basic traveller's hotel.”

“I witnessed different guests checked in around 12 noon one day, and at 8am, YES, 8AM the next day, respectively. It would be genuinely fair and hospitable to let guests check in at any business time and check out EXACTLY A DAY later. Otherwise a guest only uses 3pm check-in to 11am check-out, that is 20-hour stay for 24-hour worth of daily payment, unless guests stay continuously for a duration. Guests definitely do not want to be ripped off, hotels shouldn't be stay policy setter only. The general public is too inert minded to voice independent opinions. The 24-hour a hotel day policy certainly would make hotel industry more competitive. Competition is at core of capitalism. Look at Russia, even during economic upturn, it is lagging behind China, another communist country at least 30 years. I made this conclusion when I visited receptionist office of Russian embassy in Beijing, and tranferred planes at a Moscow airport with 5 hours of wait.”
