I witnessed different guests checked in around 12 noon one day, and at 8am, YES, 8AM the next day, respectively. It would be genuinely fair and hospitable to let guests check in at any business time and check out EXACTLY A DAY later. Otherwise a guest only uses 3pm check-in to 11am check-out, that is 20-hour stay for 24-hour worth of daily payment, unless guests stay continuously for a duration. Guests definitely do not want to be ripped off, hotels shouldn't be stay policy setter only. The general public is too inert minded to voice independent opinions. The 24-hour a hotel day policy certainly would make hotel industry more competitive. Competition is at core of capitalism. Look at Russia, even during economic upturn, it is lagging behind China, another communist country at least 30 years. I made this conclusion when I visited receptionist office of Russian embassy in Beijing, and tranferred planes at a Moscow airport with 5 hours of wait.

Stayed 3 nights in a 2 Queen Bed room. Room was very clean. Staff was friendly and polite. Had an issue with the key card and they fixed it right away. There was a lot of snow during my stay and the walkways weren’t very clear and very slippery but I’d assume the plow company had a large amount of calls. Breakfast was advertised online to start at 6am but they didn’t offer it until 7am

I ended up not using the room. I was in the area for some mountain biking. I did get in a ride but the weather for the next day was not good with air quality and thunderstorms. It was too late to cancel the room so unfortunately I had to absorb the cost.

Since my last reviews on agoda.com about arbitrary wifi time & Indian Canadian staff, service level has increased noticeably: --Upon check-in, guests have reliable wifi thruought the reservation duration; --Muslim Canadians were recruited as staff, who always speak English and are friendly; --When I extend stay with new reservation paid for, the transition is always smooth. I only need to extend door key at my time of convenience. For further improvement: --The breakfast area was too small to accomodate lineups of weekend travellers. Perhaps packaged breakfasts can be provided for those busy weekends. There is microwave and fridge in every room. --Despite "Very Good Breakfast" of this hotel in Agoda.com, breakfast is at par with other hotels --guest room can use another chair or two. Only one chair in each room, whether 1 king or double queen. The hotel is located in the business area of Barrie just off highway 400. Many restaurants nearby.

Front Desk Staff was Friendly . Location is great......right off the hiway. The beds were very comfortable. The Air Conditioning worked well. Decent breakfast choices. The bathroom in the room wasn't great. The shower/bathtub in poor condition. We all enjoyed the pool ! Very satisfied for what the room cost. It's not the Ritz but worked for us stopping fpor the night. We would stay again!
