“This hotel offers a decent location and spacious rooms, which made for a comfortable stay. The views from the restaurant were a highlight, providing a pleasant atmosphere for meals. However, there were a couple of downsides. The breakfast was poor, which was disappointing for a hotel of this standard. Additionally, while the hotel advertises free parking, we found that at night, the parking was occupied by restaurant guests, forcing us to park outside in the paid city area. This was inconvenient and not what we expected. Overall, the positives of the location and room size were overshadowed by the lack of reliable parking and the underwhelming breakfast. I do not recommend this hotel.”

“The hotel was amazing! 10/10 would stay there again. The pools was lovely, great environment and entertainment. Lots of things to do around the hotel and outside of hotel. Rooms thoroughly cleaned everyday and looked amazing. Only downside id say is that the staff seemed quite miserable, didn’t see anyone smiling or welcoming, some seemed like they couldn’t be bothered to communicate with us when we needed them for anything. ”

“We stayed for a week at Pestana Miramar on a dinner, bed & breakfast package. There was no option to book just bed & breakfast. Room: decor and facilities are rather aged and need an update. The carpet is smelly and unless the air con is on or door open, the whole room smells unpleasant. Net curtain was torn. On the plus side, the bed is comfortable and large, but pillows are lumpy. Breakfast: good pastries but limited on fresh fruit (only bananas, apples, sometimes pears, kiwi), considering there are many seasonal local fruit available on the island. Dinner: some of the food was good, some not so much in terms of variety and flavour. A bit hit and miss - if it was an option to exclude dinner, we would have done that and gone for local restaurants in the area. The only alternative to the buffet restaurant were a-la-carte restaurants within the Pestana chain, located 30 min walk away, so not ideal. ”
