“The room was more spacious than a typical Japanese business hotel, which made my stay much more comfortable. The hotel itself was clean and seemed to host events from time to time, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed during the Obon holiday, one of the busiest travel periods in Japan. At the time, most hotels around Hon-Hachinohe were charging roughly *** per night, but since this hotel is located a little farther from the main downtown area, I was able to stay here for around ***. Considering the timing, I thought it was excellent value. One small thing that surprisingly stood out to me was that the toilet paper in the bathroom was two-ply. I’ve stayed in many hotels throughout Japan, but this was actually the first time I had seen two-ply toilet paper in a hotel there, so it was oddly memorable.”

“APA is consitently one of the best hotels for value in my experiences in Japan. The staff are always incredibly helpful and accommodating even if you show up outside your scheduled check in time. The rooms are comfortable and have everything one would want, and they are always close to the center of action in their towns/cities. ”

“The hotel is undergoing construction. I was notified by email but not given an option to cancel or a discount. The staff were very kind and the room was clean, but the facilities were outdated and the television did not work. It was also quite noisy. However, given the price it was reasonable and the location was excellent. If you are on a budget, it might be worth it.”

“Nothing fancy, but quite nice. Other than a weird brown liquid coming from my air conditioner, I had no issues at all. The mattress could have been softer, but it was tolerable. The hotel breakfast was quite nice and the staff were kind and helpful. ”
