“we ate in the Poet's corner bar after checking in, where the food appeared to be thrown together. When I saw the 'lake' of sauce on my plate, I asked where was the vol-au-vont I ordered and was told it was under the of sauce! It was totally submerged and was clearly cooked separate to the sauce , which was tipped over it. I would not recommend eating at the Poet's Corner Bar, there are plenty of other cafes and restaurants in Ennis town centre to choose from.”

“Excellent location and wonderful staff and peaceful environment to relax in ”

“We were very happy with the peace and quiet here. Friendly owner, historic building and healthy breakfast. About a 20 minute easy walk in to Ennis”

“The hotel was clean and comfortable. The first lady that managed our check in was extremely professional and friendly. However, her colleague later on allocated a room to us that was smaller than what was paid for and had to request for a change - more can be done for a smoother check in process. Additionally, while it may not be the fault of the hotel staff, we had to deal with a rowdy bunch of boys (who I believe were guests of the hotel as well), knocking at our doors and running away. When confronted, they pretended not to understand Chinese even though we obviously were speaking to them in English which in my opinion was extremely racist, and definitely uncalled for. Perhaps something can be done about managing the guest experience as well. ”

“I was unprepared for a hold only room security deposit for 150 euro., to be refunded after staff inspection., at some unknown time. The early check in was no, a very firm 4pm, that made it difficult as just off night flight. Clerk made it sound like no rooms ready until then period. However, was clean and convenient. It was missing the Irish hospitality. ”
