“One of the newer accommodations on the island. Room is clean (shower drains a bit slow). Breakfast was great. Grounds were well kept. Please change the room slippers with anti slip kind (and more comfortable kind).”

“The staffs and the owner are very friendly. Not many food varieties, but the taste is great. The whole area is very clean. The only bad thing is no air-conditioner so will be a bit hot during dry season. Managed to play some water sports and the kids are happy. Definitely a recommended accommodation. ”

“The room is very basic and price is very affordable, we have a very balcony with a superb view with the mountains and the lake. The room is not air conditioned but they will provide a fan and the weather there is very cooling. The ferry can stop directly at the hotel and the ferry costs about 25K IDR/pax. The staff is very friendly and able to communicate in simple English.”

“We enjoyed our stay at Tuk Tuk Timbul very much. It's perfect for us, we are blessed. Our bungalow is right by the lake where we can fish and swim. Actually all bungalows here are by the lake. We got dropped off from Tiga Raja by a traditional boat or perahu kayu after a taxi ride from Silangit Airport. Beautiful view and every so often, ferry or traditional boat would pass by as we are near the ferry port of Ambarita. The staff is friendly and helpful. Food needs improvement, some dishes were rather bland. Price is reasonable. There are a lot of cafes and restaurants around though and you can rent motor bike to go places or get a motor rickshaw. Just so you know, there's no AC but we have a fan in our room and the temperature is quite cool. Having a fan helps coz there's a lot of bugs. No TV and Wifi is only at the reception. ”
