“Lovely views down the Deben. Comfy big bed. Plain and simple so felt it was a little over priced though the breakfast was magnificent. We don't usually eat breakfast but this was well worth getting up for. We visited during a cold snap, the room doesn't have double glazing obviously and quite rightly to retain the integrity of the building but it was chilly. Heaters thankfully warmed us up. The bathroom was the big let down. Bitter. We had a very rushed wash. The welcome was incredible as was the customer service. Would we visit again? Yes! But only during a warm summer.”

“ Very welcoming staff and easy parking. Room was a lovely size and very clean although, even being a double en-suite, we had to request a second set of towels. Coffee machine in room with sufficient choice. However, if you are not acquainted with the specific coffee machine, it doesn't make it any easier when the provided instructions relate to a different coffee maker that doesn't take the same pods.”

“It was a box attic room up two flight of stairs and enough beams to knock yourself out, hardly room to swing a cat, so no good for us pensioners. this would be a standard room anywhere else. And if you put "Whole Sea Bream" on the menu, I want to see the "Whole" fish on my plate not just the head and a piece of fillet, Manager good enough to refund that. Spa was great. ”

“Room carpet needs a good clean as did the marked bed throw. Restaurant and bar area were chilly but we did go when it was -1 outside. We ate both nights in the restaurant and it could be hard to get the staff who were standing around chatting to come to our table. Doors needed to be closed behind them. Take a thick jumper in there with you. Food was delicious. Spa was lovely I had a back massage that was excellent. Breakfast was included in the price with a good choice. Was a great meet up with my 2 school friend now that we are in our 60s. Would definitely go there again. ”
