“Great hotel”

“Booked this place for a couple of nights to attend a wedding in nearby Warwick. Absolutely fine for the few days, very basic but for the price not bad at all. Was missing an iron but again not too much of an issue. The staff were very friendly and especially the lady working during the day. Location was alright but obviously food options are limited to the overpriced stuff in the neighbouring service station. If I had wanted to I’m sure I could have driven out to a bigger shop but opted to bite the bullet. The nearest taxi company is 10 miles away in Leamington which caused a bit of a dispute when we cancelled it 10/15 mins prior to the pickup time and the driver showed up wanting a fee (they wanted £25 when Uber was £15 for a 15 minute journey) however the lady behind the desk was very supportive during the discussion and helped to resolve it with a calm and collected manner. I would say if you stay here and need a taxi Uber is fairly reliable but give yourself plenty of time to get one otherwise you will be charged a lot by local firms. The room was clean, all toiletries present plus the usual tea/coffee. As somebody who travels for work a lot it would get a bit rough staying frequently or for more than a couple of nights but for a place to crash (certainly after a few drinks) this place is more than sufficient. ”

“Stayed here to be close to the castle. Took less than 10 mins to walk there. Very nice room and helpful staff. The floorboards are very creaky so if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. Breakfast was great”

“Lots of stairs to our room so wouldn’t be suitable for some guests. Staff very helpful and carried our luggage. Any requests were promptly dealt with. Excellent cooked breakfast. We were visiting friends so didn’t have any meals. Seemed a very popular place as quite busy during our stay. Would certainly stay again.”

“Stayed one night on our way back to the south coast from Yorkshire. Great place to stay. Lovely room and facilities. Dog friendly and excellent Indian food in the restaurant and a great English breakfast the following morning. Very friendly staff. All in all a very good experience. ”
