“From start to finish’s this was such a lovely experience. The building itself, the rooms, the bar and the lounge were all great. The food, especially the bar menu, was such great value for money, it was fresh, tasty and such large portions. The cooked breakfasts were of the highest quality and Tony made us feel so welcome from the minute we arrived. We will definitely visit again.”

Despite check-in being a standardised 15:00, the hotel only ever seems to have one member of staff working the front desk. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that scheduling a second person during peak arrival hours would solve this. Expect a bit of a wait when you first arrive. ​Late-Night Access ​A heads-up if you are returning late: the front doors will be locked. While there is a security guard on duty to let you in, they seemed highly annoyed and surly about actually having to get up and unlock the door. It makes coming back feel like an inconvenience rather than a standard return to your paid room. ​The Verdict ​The Good: Unbeatable central location, clean rooms, comfortable beds. ​The Bad: Slow, understaffed afternoon check-in and a grumpy late-night welcome. ​Overall, it's an agreeable stay and highly practical for a night on the town—just be prepared to pack a little patience at the front desk.”
