“Having stayed here previously, I was disappointed with my room on this occasion. My request for a first-floor room was not accommodated, and the room allocated opened directly onto the car park. As a solo female traveller, I felt vulnerable due to the lack of an internal double lock or chain, and significant road noise meant I was unable to rest. The reception staff did their best to assist but were unable to move me as the hotel was fully booked. On a positive note, both my evening meal and breakfast were of a good standard. Unfortunately, having booked specifically to reduce travel ahead of an important meeting, the lack of sleep left me feeling unwell, and I would not choose to stay again. Cleanliness in this room was also not of the standard I had experienced previously.”
