“Well run hostel, rooms with ensuites, comfy beds, great location, discount parking, easy access code, traditional old building but neat and clean. Would stay again!”

“We stayed one night. The room was cute and comfy. It was comfortable and met our needs. Parking is a bit difficult but you can find it within a short walk.”

“As much as I hate being mean I have to be honest. We had to ring somebody to even get in to reception as it was not open. So we where left standing around for 20 mins figuring out if they had our reservation or not. Room looked better in photos. Bed was comfy but was two singles stuck together and felt the middle bit joining. Seemed like it needed a refurbishment. The bar wasn't open on a Monday when we arrived. The receptionist gave is 12 off breakfast for being late I suspect. Bet we never got to use it as breakfast finished at 10... we kinda thought I'd be on till 11 or 12. Bit of a letdown for 85 quid. I wouldnt recommend as there are better hotels for the money I think. Location is good. Staff were friendly If not punctual. We did have a nice time in the town though. But maybe a different hotel next time. Sorry but just being honest.”

“The stay at The Wild Peasant was overall very pleasant. Room was comfortable and clean but could hear our neighbours conversation very clearly until the early hours. Spa facilities, bar and restaurant were lovely and staff very friendly and helpful. The only let down apart from noisy neighbours was the food. I ordered fish and chips which was around £18. The fish was soggy, thin and greasy and the chips (which weren’t bruised) were okay at best. Ordered a glass of wine which was warm. The breakfast was good with a great buffet selection, however, the worst sausage I’ve ever eaten which I left (grey and cold) and shell in my otherwise perfect poached eggs. Having seen others guests’ food though, some of it looked lovely. Despite the food experience, I would stay here again. ”
