“Really nice hotel, great staff, spa is lovely and all round great experience. The only thing that pulled it down somewhat was that the room we had was not entirely suitable to us. We were with our 16month old boy, the room we were in had a socket in the floor with dodgy wiring which was very accessible to our little one, a tv was plugged into this and was in the middle of the room on a glass table. If any of you out there reading this have toddlers you will understand the dangers of this as they are somewhat inquisitive and love playing with anything remotely dangerous, which this certainly was! The other thing is that I had requested a cot for the room which wasnt present. The receptionist resolved this issue however. Basically. Room good, but not suitable for toddler. I’d like to clarify that the fault does lie with Agoda who I booked with and not the pheasant hotel. They were very accommodating. The pheasant had no idea of the request for cot and they we’re expecting 3 adults not 2 and a baby. Not a baby friendly room”

“Fantastic location overlooking the River Dee but the hotel is in need of investment and a total refurbishment. Poor menu, shocking wine list, unable to charge to our room and a local EHO rating of one out of five which is beyond shocking. ”

“We stayed one night. The room was cute and comfy. It was comfortable and met our needs. Parking is a bit difficult but you can find it within a short walk.”

“As much as I hate being mean I have to be honest. We had to ring somebody to even get in to reception as it was not open. So we where left standing around for 20 mins figuring out if they had our reservation or not. Room looked better in photos. Bed was comfy but was two singles stuck together and felt the middle bit joining. Seemed like it needed a refurbishment. The bar wasn't open on a Monday when we arrived. The receptionist gave is 12 off breakfast for being late I suspect. Bet we never got to use it as breakfast finished at 10... we kinda thought I'd be on till 11 or 12. Bit of a letdown for 85 quid. I wouldnt recommend as there are better hotels for the money I think. Location is good. Staff were friendly If not punctual. We did have a nice time in the town though. But maybe a different hotel next time. Sorry but just being honest.”
