“Property has been completely redone and is clean and new feeling with new paint and carpeting, comfortable beds and towels. We had several very good dinners here, the Tuscan chicken, sea bass and steak pie were all very tasty and breakfasts were well prepared and very good. The hotel had only been re-opened for a month when we were there so a few kinks to work out in staffing etc but the staff that was there bent over backwards to provide great service, drinks and food. We would recommend and stay there again. ”

“Lovely large double room. Clean and comfortable bed. Drinks at the bar average prices and evening meal in the restaurant. Fish and chips and fish pie all very good. Young staff in restaurant very polite, friendly and helpful. Wee bit expensive for bed and breakfast but booked late and not many rooms left. Plenty choice for breakfast and large portions.”

“Hotel in centre of quiet port town. Looked slightly run down from outside but good interior. Staff friendly and helpful, room clean and warm with a good bed and bathroom. Buffet (Scottish) breakfast was very good. Evening food (in bar) quite acceptable with good choice menu. Overall, good stay. Prices vary depending on time of year. It's an old building so not as smart as some, but absolutely fine.”
