“We were visiting a friend and wanted a nearby place to stay. Banbury does not seem to have a lot of options, so my hopes were not high but this place was perfect. It is at a very busy intersection, but the historic pub downstairs is snug and charming, and the room upstairs was spacious, comfortable and very quiet. There seem to be 3 rooms next to each other, would be great for a family group and the price was very reasonable for the location. Easy to park in the car park. Great location near the train station (0.5 miles) and several shops. We had drinks in the pub one night and there was a great selection and a friendly atmosphere (including resident dog). ”

“Wonderful historical building in great location, don't expect immaculate manicured gardens & pristine buildings, things are a bit rough around the edges & that's what makes the great atmosphere along with friendly hardworking staff. Some of the best places to stay in the the country with fantastic prices”

“Received the warmest welcome from the owners ! We accidentally arrived two hours prior to check in time but this was absolutely no problem. We really just needed somewhere to sleep and this was perfect. The room was small but spotlessly clean and it's very clear they have tried to make the place homely and comfortable. The fan provided certainly helped in this hot weather! If you are looking for something that's not ridiculously priced and basic then would happily recommend this place. I feel its probably only suitable for a one night stop over which is exactly what we needed while visiting family in the town. I wish every success to this lovely couple. ”
