“Just home from a 2 night stay at The George. A huge thank you to the team who work there who clearly care very much about looking after their guests. Fab atmosphere in the bar, homely food on both evenings with great recommendations which we followed and weren’t disappointed. We felt it was great value for money on the room prices and the food but the best by far was the staff who just kept going the extra mile. Thank you. ”

“We had a wonderful stay, the hotel was very accommodating in regards to my husband‘s 40th birthday. They provided us with some helpful ideas to make the stay extra special. It was a lovely extra to be welcomed with a glass of champagne. We had a lovely time and definitely would rebook for the future also not to forget the grounds are beautiful, really tranquil and relaxing ”

“But - you need to check if they have live music - because it goes on until 1pm the floor shakes with the noise and then the doors slam when people are leaving. Otherwise it is great they couldn’t have been more helpful. ”

“Received the warmest welcome from the owners ! We accidentally arrived two hours prior to check in time but this was absolutely no problem. We really just needed somewhere to sleep and this was perfect. The room was small but spotlessly clean and it's very clear they have tried to make the place homely and comfortable. The fan provided certainly helped in this hot weather! If you are looking for something that's not ridiculously priced and basic then would happily recommend this place. I feel its probably only suitable for a one night stop over which is exactly what we needed while visiting family in the town. I wish every success to this lovely couple. ”
