“The single room looked out onto a side street where I could see people working in office as late into the evening, so no privacy. In late April, the air-conditioning system has not been turned on yet and my room was oppressively hot. There was no dehumidifier in the bathroom and everything was damp and clammy. The room was furnished in old world, wooden veneer pieces and lack charm. But the worst part was the bed which was hard as a rock and yet sagging in the middle at the same time. It definitely needed to be replaced. Considering when I paid for this hotel, it being one of the most expensive during my trip to Portugal and Spain, I would not consider it good value for money at all. And I would not stay there again.”

“Our room was impeccably clean, so is our bathroom. The property is newly renovated with all the modern fittings and convenience a traveler would need. One thing I love about our stay was the in-house laundry service. Very helpful for pilgrims on the Camino. The host Alejandro and his mother, were warm, friendly and fantastic hosts. She makes the breakfast. Her homemade torta Santiago was the best I’ve had. Location is at the heart of town. Very convenient. I highly recommend staying here esp if you are doing the Camino Portugues. ”

“El hotel, aunque bien ubicado en el centro de la ciudad, necesita urgentemente reformas. Las instalaciones son bastante antiguas, lo que se refleja en detalles como los elementos del baño, que presentan desconchones y falta de mantenimiento. Es un lugar aceptable si solo buscas un sitio para dormir, pero no esperes más que lo básico. Si lo que buscas es comodidad y modernidad, probablemente debas considerar otras opciones.”
