“Stayed 2 nights, and it is walking distance to both the waterfall and pagoda. Room was clean, functional and had a great view. Beds were really hard and the flower shower sprayed everywhere but on you. Breakfast, ok but the second day was menu only and we didn’t get what we ordered. Evening meals were ok, quite oily so we had steamed items only on the 2nd night. There are not really any other options so take some snacks. The restaurant is a bit soulless and the tables are huge. Prices are similar to most other places and the menu gives enough choice including vegetarian food. Hotel has many steps to get to the rooms which are set away from the reception and restaurant and very slippy so no good for anyone with mobility issues. Top floor where we were had about seven outdoor staircases from reception but they did offer to help with our bags. Staff were polite. This is an old hotel, similar to an English holiday camp from the 80s, it’s ok for a night and its location is fantastic for the falls. The local bus from Cao Bang town drops you just past the hotel entrance and returns from the same point. ”
