“Really nice resort with great room. The cheaper upper rooms are the best cos they are light and airy with a great view. To get here, it is a 30-minute from Phuket/ 10 from Yao Yai and a 40-minute tuk2 ride over bad roads. The resort can provide transport, but it is pricey. There are great facilities - nice pool, kayaks, boat trips, volleyball, table tennis etc. Plus a great beach bar (happy hours 5-6 and 9-10 - the girls all complained that during happy hourctgere was no alcohol in the cocktails) and 2 nice restaurants - one Thai and one Utalian. Breakfast has lot of choice but some of the cooking could be improved. The price was great BUT we were out of season. We had a room with spa bath ... but we didn't use the bath because it simply filled too slowly. I reckonhvat least 30mins to get JUST ENOUGH water, never mind to fill it. Although most of the staff were lovely, there was one slim lady on reception, and she was very rude, aggressive and should be kept away from customers.”

“To be honest, I was a little disappointed when I first arrived as I thought it’s going to be more luxury and bigger scale. But it turn out to be a small place with only 10 rooms. Staff are nice but not warm, and felt an obligation to pay extra for their taxi and tours, if you’re not doing those, they kind of give you a disappointing look. I was planning to do those tours, but unfortunately they only do private tours, which means if I’m one person, I need to pay 2 pax price. I wish the staff would suggest me to join other people in the place as I spoke to a couple there, they are keen to add me to the tour but unfortunately I’m checking out that day. Hence in the end my 2 days there, I just do nothing. I wish the staff can suggest more stuff or activities for me to do. But having say these, I enjoyed my stay there, because it’s really quiet with very little people, the cocoon designed room is beautiful and the small infinity pool is very nice to swim throughout the day especially in the evening time when you can see beautiful sunset. What I love the most is the animals there, they have many dogs and cats. They will come visit my room at night or sometimes in the morning. This cute ginger cat came to my room and sleep with me throughout my two nights there. I feel so sad when I have to leave cuz I’m not going to see her again. Also, during my stay there, the hot and cold dip is not available. I feel bad saying all these but I need to be truthful when I write reviews. As I also found out that the founder of this beautiful designed place had passed away last year. It’s so sad, I can tell how much him and his co-founder / partner had put into this place. ”

“This establishment is new and is in the most amazingly quiet and secluded location on Koh Yao Noi. If you like getting away and having the beach and facilities to yourself, this is the place for you. Make sure to check out Mina’s Cooking Class whilst on Noi. Simply Awesome!”

“A Little Romantic Hideaway in Koh Yao Noi 🌿💕 A third visit to Koh Yao Noi, but my first time discovering The Woods, a very new and charming little hideaway surrounded by nature. The Woods and Amber are managed together, so guests at The Woods can easily walk over to enjoy the restaurant and facilities at Amber. I loved this combination: staying surrounded by nature while still having access to the comfort and facilities of a resort. The GM and the team warmly greeted us on arrival and took such good care of us throughout our stay. Their genuine warmth made the experience feel very personal. The tents are intimate, with cute decor and a lovely sense of privacy. We stayed in Tent No. 2, surrounded by greenery with the beach just in front. We also rented a bike and explored the island at our own pace. It’s still a very new property, but already has its own charm. A simple, romantic escape where nature meets comfort. One little tip: keep the noise low at night. Through the tent walls, you can hear the beautiful sounds of nature all around you, which is part of the magic. A lovely little discovery for couples looking for an intimate and genuine getaway. 🌿💕”
