“From start to finish was great!! I usually find at least one thing bad, not here. Early check-in granted...2 hours! Breakfast very good, hot meats, eggs, sausages. Cold milk for once, not just room temperature. Huge pool outdoors with lifeguard. Indoor pool also. Super quiet. No ambient noise at all. Fast elevators. Excellent restaurant with authentic Portugese food (cheeseburger and fries available for $13). Low costs for such a good meal....all under 20 euros.”

“There was a problem with my booking as through Agoda I booked what seemed a private room for the price of a dorm. However, arriving there the lady at reception said I booked a male dorm (I am female). I showed her my receipt and she got angry and was very rude about the whole thing, saying this happened before and I must take this up with Agoda. She went on and on to discuss this and could not even gather that I clearly did not wanna stay in a male dorm. Luckily, another member of staff saved the day. 12 beds are sharing one toilet and one shower, neither can be locked. There is no kitchen or even a kettle that can be used by guests. ”

“This was a delightful surprise. A gorgeously designed room in a converted house in the middle of Santarem. All rooms are upstairs. There is a pleasant garden area. We would definitely recommend this.”

“Hotel Umu is situated awkwardly to see most interesting part(the old city). I don’t mind the climb, but most people would. It is very clean and comfortable but very spare in its furniture style. The breakfasts are quite good. Not really very convenient to train or bus. If driving, very convenient parking. It works for me but not sure about others. ”
