“Nice hotel with a lot of style and history”

“The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. It was great service for the price.”

“A stunning location by the sea. The hotel is nice but make no mistake, you’re paying for the pool and the view here. Service was patchy, the staff member who welcomed me when I arrived was excellent but got pretty much ignored when arriving at breakfast on the first morning. Turndown service with cookies is a nice touch, but the hotel doesn’t feel 5 star. No gym even though the description says they have a fitness centre. A little out of the town so not ideal if travelling solo and walking back after dark as it’s not well lit all the way. Overall, not worth the price I paid for a fairly nice room with a view of the car park / road. Also noisy with other guests having a loud long conversation outside my room late at night which would have been audible at reception too. View 10/10, Location 7/10, Service 6/10, Breakfast 5/10. Overall disappointing for the money. Book it for the view - which really is something - but lower your expectations for the hotel itself. ”
