“We have really liked our stay in Munril Guest. The accomodation has a very good style and superb host. The manager has recommended many good restaurants in Jaffna (Try KBC if you can!) and has also taken us to the train station in early morning. More than excellent service. Thank you again! We have not asked for but they are organizing trips in and around to Jaffna as well! (FYI) The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, we had warm water (1st time since one week in Sri Lanka!), the air condition was working perfectly. There is a shop nearby and you can go to the city with an tuk-tuk very easily. I just can recommend it! Maybe just one thing for you to know: we have booked our accomodation in Agoda (2 nights separatelly as we have changed our original trip idea) and the accomodation did not see the first (and prepaid) night when we have arrived. After almost 2 hours of investigation it has turned out that they have received our reservation for the first night from Expedia and the second night from Booking. So if you experience the same you can ask them to check all notifications from all reservation sites. We did not have a problem at the end, and also received a coffe while we were waiting but it was little bit frustrating how it is possible to not see one (prepaid) reservation upons arrival.”

“In comparison to the other hotels in Jaffna, I will recommend Northgate hotel to anyone. Beside the rooms are quite spacious and clean. We had our breakfast and lunch on 2 days and found the food very tasty and quite a variety to choose from. Special call out to the 2 guys at the reception desk as I found them to be very courteous, hospitable and friendly. Recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodation in Jaffna. ”

“Our stay at the Jetwing Jaffna was quite nice. The best parts about the hotel are the staff, the food and the Happy Hour cocktails. The service in the beautiful roof top bar was very slow at times, but they made up for it with delicious, inventive cocktails. The breakfast buffet and the Jaffna Night buffet dinner were exceptionally good. The location was very convenient for getting around Jaffna, walking, tuk-tuks, taxis, and public transportation (busses). The downside are the lack of facilities- no pool, no workout facilities, no spa services. The rooms are well-equipped, but the bathrooms are very small. The friendly staff made up for any shortcomings of the facilities, and we would happily stay here again. ”
