“The location is conveniently situated in the center of Hikkaduwa town, offering easy access to snorkeling and a vibrant atmosphere frequented by both locals and tourists. It offers excellent value for money. I would suggest opting for the premier ocean view rooms for a superior experience; the other rooms may not be as appealing. It seems the hotel is gradually recovering from Sri Lanka's two-year economic challenges. The cuisine is delightful, with the chef and staff being exceptionally cordial and accommodating. Even the reception staff is very welcoming. In terms of improvements, the cleanliness and comfort of the bedding initially did not meet expectations. However, the staff was prompt and efficient in addressing the issue upon notification. The evening view is quite picturesque. The premier ocean view room on the 1st floor, where I stayed, is truly commendable and worth the investment. Please note, there is no bar on the premises, so you will need to bring your own beverages. Conveniently, there is a liquor store just across the street.”

“I checked out of the hotel today and spent a night there. I book my acommodation on agoda and got a last minute deal, travelling with my younger son. Upon check-in, the staff made me realize the error of booking for 1 instead of 1 adult plus child. They made me pay an extra $20USD for my son's breakfast. It did not sit well so I checked online and pointed out to staff the the buffet breakfast was suppose to be 3,000 LKR instead of the 6,000 or 20USD that he charged. First the staff insisted I was wrong, asking my driver to use this currency conversion app stating that 3,000 was indeed 20USD. When proven wrong, he insisted that the child's breakfast was 20USD. It is clearly not advertised that way on line. No one likes to be taken for a fool and I clearly felt that put off by the lack of honesty on the part of the front of house staff. I was told they would follow up with the manager which they did not. Regardless if a guess books the reservation online, through a hospitality app or gets a last minute deal, hotels should honor what was clearly stated and not try and make a quick buck from guest and their lie about the rates. ”
