“Lovely clean very friendly hotel. Big room, with a full size bathroom and tub. Staff were exceptional. Carpets are worn in places but over all super clean. The restaurant has ambition but they are doing so many covers that it is hard not to get things wrong, like the overcooked fish that was left on the pass a little too long. Generous portions and well priced. My partner had the steak sandwich and he said it was excellent. I would recommend this hotel. ”

“On a recent tour of Ireland, this was the most expensive place I stayed in. The house is well maintained and the bedrooms are huge with lovely views. There is a welcoming atmosphere and the furnishings and fittings create the right ambience for the style of house. There is thought to little details such as providing an area to prepare hot refreshments and completely servicing rooms (including replacing towels and toiletries) between the two nights we stayed - without any necessity for us to request this. Breakfast is served in a nice room in a calm atmosphere. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Improvements could include replacing showers which need updating, providing TVs that suit the size of rooms and better signage to the property - the sign to the property was almost impossible to read on a dark rainy autumnal night.”
