“ We had a nice 2 night stay at the Lansdowne Kenmare. It was striking upon entry, with beautiful millwork, furnishings, and details. Each space on the first floor felt welcoming and cozy, yet luxurious. The rooms felt equally that way. It’s an old building, so there are quirks as well, such as bad plumbing (namely toilets), but we experienced that all over Ireland. It’s also right in the heart of the town, so it’s very convenient. They also had a car park in the back, but fills up quickly. While I knew we wouldn’t receive all our requests, I hoped for a quieter room. We were on the second floor in the first 2 rooms entering the corridor to all the rooms at the top of the stairs. There is a door to enter the corridor that makes for more noise. One of our rooms was directly at the top of the stairs, right by the corridor entry door and above the lounge, which gets quite loud. I imagine it’s the loudest room and should be considered less desirable and offered at a better rate. The staff at check-in were nice and easy enough to communicate with, but the gal at the connected cafe was less than welcoming. Upon check-in we were told that we could have a complimentary coffee or tea. We obliged after bringing our bags in. We entered the cafe and told the barista we were there for our complimentary coffee. She looked off put and hesitant then responded, “um, yeah ok, I will do that for you,” as if she was doing us a favor. Only after receiving our coffee and another patron coming in did I realize they were closing. It would have been nice to be told ahead of time they were closing and to please come the next day. ”

“We loved the location and the staff were amazing. I had a health challenge and Brian went above & beyond to make sure I got in to see a Dr. The owner was lovely and they made sure I had tea, water and even a bowl of soup to help me get better. The breakfast was incredible!! Highly recommend this place. ”

“Bar and corridors very cold but room was nice and clean and comfortable and cozy My wife got excellent food but I got the steak which was 35€ and was a bad cut of meat (sinues and fat) told the waitress but heard no more ! The dessert I got was very poor with artificial cream and topping and I couldn’t eat it horrible The breakfast was very good but the coffee was poor (machine)”

“The room is very spacious and clean. The location was fabulous. We ate at the pub and had a very good dinner. Breakfast was amazing. Staff was very gracious and friendly.”

“We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Sheen Falls. It's beautifully updated while still maintaining it's classic charm. The courtesy car that took us the few short minutes into town for dinner every night was a great perk. Would highly recommend!”
