“We were totally impressed when we entered the place. Soft music greets you in the cozy lounge. Room was spotlessly clean, spacious and well appointed with a beautiful view of the garden from the bay window. The owners, Ben and Katherine were warm and personable and gave helpful suggestions. Breakfast spread was extensive enough to cater to different palates. Little touches like juices and milk in individual bottles is a good idea for hygiene purposes. Definitely value for money and we would return to stay if we have the chance. We were quite sad that we were only staying for 2 nights.”

“The location of the hotel is excellent, 150yd from the cathedral. All the staff were very helpful, polite and really faultless. Negatives : a bit dated in terms of decoration. I had booked two rooms which were allocated on second floor. There is no air conditioning and the rooms are therefore supplied with electric fans. These were far from adequate. It was also quite expensive to add extra choices to upgrade from continental breakfast which is included in the booking) eg one bowl of porridge £4.00 and the most shocking to me was the charge of one bottle of drinking water £4.75. ”
