“The staff was very accommodating for our late arrival and provided a meal at a late hour. The hotel is very old and could use some updating but we appreciated it for what it is. Train tracks is right next to the place but that didn’t bother us much as there weren’t many late or early trains to disrupt our sleep.”

“Stayed as visiting family In the area. I was a bit worried due to some other bad reviews I had read regarding the decoration and state of the rooms but was very pleasantly surprised. Our room overlooked the garden and river and appeared to be completely refurbished. Everything you could need was there. The only issue was the temperature of the water in the shower as it was only luke warm. We reported on checkout and it didn't spoil our stay. We also arrived at 2pm as per agoda's confirmation of checkin time to be told this was wrong and it wasn't until 3pm. Luckily the receptionist found us a room after 10 minutes but it would be helpful if the information stated was correct.”

“It's a good place as a layover to break up your journey - just off the motorway, not in the middle of a town where you're likely to encounter party goers. Quiet rooms for the most part. Only downside is that there are very limited options for breakfast (Starbucks and a subway or service station food) but I knew that when I booked up. Only reason for mentioning it is that it may catch others out.”
