“The Royal Hotel, Scarborough is a well located Hotel near the centre of town and the cliff lift/walkway which gives you good access to the beach/promenade. The room we booked was great value for money if not a bit awkward to find through the corridors. The lounge/bar areas were expansive with comfy seating and large TV's in the main lounge. Happy hour beer was an awesome price. We didn't use the restaurant but it looked popular. There is apparently a pool with sauna and a gym underneath the hotel which I think is run by an external leisure company which you are able to access via a lock door/intercom system from the hotel but unfortunately the staff member on duty didn't know anything about it or how much it would cost to use the leisure facilities.”
