“Pleasant stay, but the restaurant could have been so much better. The restaurant itself was really lovely, but the menu and the food let itself down. The cooked breakfast was really nice with more toast when asked, however there was very little cereal, no fresh fruit, pastries or yogurt. We had an evening meal on the first of the two nights, and were disappointed.Only 3 choices of starter; soup, garlic bread, and a salmon and prawn concoction. Not great. The mains were disappointing..belly pork which was insufficiently cooked and still very fatty, and my steak which was well done, not medium.My partner had a sticky toffee pudding for afters which was dry and inedible.We did not pay for this. The bar was nice and reasonably priced and a happy hour.”
