“Pub hotel, breakfast was good. Lovely walk near the hotel, quiet and peaceful. This is far from the main attractions and no restaurants around. Taxi is hard to get and would set you off £30 just to go Ryde. We still enjoyed our stay and the room was lovely”

“Room very clean and tidy. Bed excellent a double even though twin beds requested. Extremely draughty through old windows in need of urgent replacement. Hot water minimal and didn't live up to warning signs in bathroom .. this did improove nearer the weeken for an unknown reason. Perhaps number of guests increased. Atmosphere in and around bar almost negligible perhaps the cold draughts through old windows assisted . It was a very windy stormy period during our stay. Very disappointed wirh stay in a building that has a long interesting history. Spoilt I felt with the degree , or lack of, external and internal maintainance”
