“We had the good fortune to spend three nights at The Ribchester Arms. Everything about our stay was exceptional. The accommodations were excellent, with a comfortable and quiet room, a courteous staff, and am outstanding breakfast. Would we stay there again? We can hardly wait.”

“Based on my last booking at this hotel I booked again - a few days after my beloved Nan passed away to get some change and also pushed my mother to come along. Due to the sensitivity of this time we are staying together and as this was permitted last time I booked this hotel on that premise. Upon arrival hotel staff were exceptionally rude and blunt, I explained we had just lost our Nan and they made an already very difficult situation much worse by initially agreeing that we could all stay together then changing their mind and forcing us to book another room without offering a refund if we decided to go elsewhere. Upon check out hotel staff began demanding payment for the “2 coffees” we had a breakfast and the “eggs” we ordered for my 1 year old although we had already paid for breakfast with the room. I’m appalled, upset and shocked to have been treated in this manner. I could see the hotel manager having a heated argument outside the hotel with another guest and so it seems we are not the only ones feeling this way. The double bed was 2 singles together so all night I was uncomfortable in the middle of the joint. Very upset at this experience ”

“I would love to come back here. Location is perfect. Staff member Stef very helpful. Lovely room although no air con so was a bit hot despite a fan supplied. Next time I'd love a room that is a bit cooler. Very good overall. ”

“Solo traveller for one night - the room was with a bathroom - perfectly functional, WiFi, TV, good shower, clean. The walls were a tad thin and my neighbors snoring did make it through my industrial ear plugs but that’s just bad luck. The staff were friendly and accommodating- I had to rush off in the morning so didn’t have the full English, but a buttie and coffee was provided. Takeaway and pubs in walking distance and a taxi from the main station was £6 ”

“The room was very tired with holes in the curtains and the desk surface has buckled all over it. The room was clean and the bed is very comfortable. I have never come across a hotel where you have to put a sign up to request your room be serviced! I have only ever seen do not disturb sign so our room wasn't serviced! A lesson learnt to look out for in future.The staff are friendly and helpful ”
