“We stayed for 2 nights in a Courtyard Double Plus room (no 25) which was situated to the right of the hotel. The room was spotless, bed softer than what we are used to but not uncomfortable and a fan was provided which we used along with a bottled water, a kettle, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. The bathroom was lovely with a large walk in shower and plenty of fresh towels. We had lots of choices for breakfast including a full English and staff were welcoming and friendly. You can reserve a table for dinner and food is served up to 8.30pm. Right next door to the hotel is the East Anglia Transport Museum. Even if that is not your thing, it is worth a visit just to ride on the various trolleybuses and trams and learn about their history. It is a total gem of a place and the staff there are amazing. The Coach House is in a good location, we reached the coast in 10 minutes by car. I would highly recommend Gunton Beach if you want a lovely stroll along the sand dunes with peace and quiet. The only negative, which I forgot to mention to staff when we checked out, was that the main venetian blind in our room was warped in places and didn't close properly. This meant there was not total privacy and we were woken by blazing sun. A blackout blind situated behind it have been much better. All in all though, a great stay. ”

“The rooms are spotless but on the small size. TV, tea & coffee, towels, comfortable bed. Close to the town and eating places. Lovely walks around the water and park. Parking not so good. Steps up to room not for elderly or disabled. We were in rooms 3 and 4. They do have other room so might be worth checking if on lower floor. Ours was above the pub but noise was not an issue. All in all serviced us well.”

“Arrived early on Sunday so we're unable to access room until 3:00pm which was fine. Decided to have lunch on the terrace overlooking the sea. Fish and chips were awful- lots of batter on my my miniscule fish. Chips were swimming in fat! Bedroom at the back was noisy due to the exhaust from the kitchen extractor was spewing fumes from kitchen from 6:00am and went off at around 11:00 pm. In addition to thus noisy fan, a fridge next to the kitchen switched on and off throughout the night. Hardly slept!The hotel was very busy and doubt if we had an option to change rooms. Had a beer at the bar which was supposed to be local but I believe came from elsewhere. The bar manager agreed that it was an awful beer and that he wouldn't drink it either! Having had negative thoughts regarding the accommodation and food the staff were lovely. Before I left, I thought it only fair that I should share my thoughts with the hotel manager. He was sympathetic and promised me a" better room " next time. Sadly, there won't be a next time.”

“We stayed for 3 nights in a large ground floor room with en-suite bath and separate shower. The room was comfortable and clean although looking a bit tired in places, particularly the surfaces around the wash basin. The food served was of very good quality and promptly served. The cooked breakfast was particularly good although the alternatives on offer were very limited. The addition of some pastries would improve this with fresh fruit. Overall the quality of the room and the cooked breakfast makes for good value. We would happily stay there again.”

“Doesn't look much for the outside, but I was pleasantly surprised. The twin room was huge with high ceilings & large bathroom. The twin beds were two doubles & could sleep 4. Two TV'S, large windows, double aspect even a seaview. The room & building was spotless. The lodge was quiet. Free parking adjacent. It is connected with the Best Western Hotel in front where check-in & check-out is & you can use their restaurant & bar etc. Definitely a great find.”
