“When I first arrived there was a hitch over a outdoor and indoor menu - I was only offered the outdoor- which I didn’t really want. When they brought something and further discussion was made they then told me they had a indoor menu and because it was a hot day I they were willing to bend rules to sit outside. It was all a bit hectic and food on a Sunday finished serving at 6 so didn’t think of eating there the next e but the room was ok. And breakfast service was good - some of the issues I encountered maybe because the manager was on holiday - but pity I wasn’t offered the option if I sat inside to start with a alternative menu - it took more than a hour to process this - such a pity - which to the start of my stay tinted the edge of it. ”

“We stayed at the Star Inn as cheaper alternative to more expensive accommodation in Kircudbright. We weren't disappointed as the room was good and spacious for my dog. The locals there were very friendly and made a good fuss of my dog. Only pitfall was the pub closed Mon - Thur which meant our last night was somewhat muted.”
