“We have been here a few times now and usually love it, but this time it was pretty busy, the hot tub outside and inside were not working and it would have been good to be advised of this on booking, its being renovated so not sure why it wasn't made clear. Its a shame as its is a lovely hotel on vast grounds. The spa was over subscribed on the day we went, no loungers and a full pool”

“I needed a dog friendly stay for 1 night near Geddington. TRL was ideal. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was great and good value. My room was spotlessly clean and perfectly quiet given the centre of town location due to the sound proof glass. Unfortunately the room did smell of tobacco despite no smoking policy. I had room 8 which has its own private shower room/toilet but it is external to the room and I knew this but it was a bit of a faff and the sink is not large enough to fill the kettle from, so again a bit of a faff ladling mugs of water into the kettle. Great park just around the corner to walk the dog. Rothwell is a lovely spot and has a great feel about the place.”

“Stayed in many,many hotels.However the standard at the R never fails. The R Inn is a budget hotel and doesn't profess to be anything more. However,budget or not,the R leaves many 3 star hotels in the shade. The management are most helpful and the staff could not be more polite.The rooms and facilities are superb and consistent, my idea of a relaxing stay is right here.!”

“Great for one or two nights, very basic but not missing anything you really need. Great value for money. Rooms are spread over 3 floors, with only stair access. Parking is limited and very tight. On street parking is restricted to 30 mins 8am to midnight. There is a public car park about 200m down the road”

“I booked this hotel for 2 nights a friends birthday in the local area, as I am from Leicester but work in Kettering. I was greeted by the lovely receptionist who was very welcoming. I called two nights before to ask about the Spa and was told that it’s should £10 and as I was staying 2 nights that they would let me in the next day free of charge. However, I was charged £20 which I was not made aware of and only noticed it in my account when I got home the following evening. Although, I did not challenge them as I had a lovely stay and spa was just what I needed. I would definitely come back! ”

“Relaxing, nice spa area, thought the pool was a proper pool from pics but it’s smaller than I thought and more like a jacuzzi only you can’t swim ”
