The Red Lion Inn

I needed a dog friendly stay for 1 night near Geddington. TRL was ideal. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was great and good value. My room was spotlessly clean and perfectly quiet given the centre of town location due to the sound proof glass. Unfortunately the room did smell of tobacco despite no smoking policy. I had room 8 which has its own private shower room/toilet but it is external to the room and I knew this but it was a bit of a faff and the sink is not large enough to fill the kettle from, so again a bit of a faff ladling mugs of water into the kettle. Great park just around the corner to walk the dog. Rothwell is a lovely spot and has a great feel about the place.
