“Location is about 20 min walk to Fort Augustus. Very friendly and attentive staff, hotel is clean and well presented. There were a couple of points though that meant low scores. Our room had the wash sink in the main bedroom with the toilet and both / shower in a bathroom. Strange. The room was big enough to make a full size bathroom or just put a single shower in to be able to fit the sink. Breakfast. We had been spoilt through the week with great food at the other pub / hotels of similar rating. The food prep felt a little more cost efficient rather than traditional and focus on flavour (watery porridge for example). By no means though is this a reflection on the helpfulness or professionalism of the staff.”
